2023 Project Grant: This application is to seek financial support for The Thirteenth Annual Knowlton Literary Festival 2023.
About: The Knowlton Literary Association organizes and presents the annual Knowlton Literary Festival, the sole English-language literary festival between Montreal and Quebec City. This festival aims to:
- Develop and deliver high-quality programming/activities that celebrate and contribute to the literary culture of the English-speaking community;
- Introduce participants to the work of outstanding writers;
- Encourage, promote and better equip local writers, both published and non-published;
- Foster literacy (text, oral, visual) amongst participants of all ages and backgrounds, and
- Promote community interaction, break social isolation and build a strong sense of regional cultural identity.
