2023 Project Grant: This application is to seek financial support for The Thirteenth Annual Knowlton Literary Festival 2023. About: The Knowlton Literary Association organizes and presents the annual Knowlton Literary Festival, the sole English-language literary festival between Montreal and Quebec City. This festival aims to:
- Develop and deliver high-quality programming/activities that celebrate and contribute to the literary culture of the English-speaking community;
- Introduce participants to the work of outstanding writers;
- Encourage, promote and better equip local writers, both published and non-published;
- Foster literacy (text, oral, visual) amongst participants of all ages and backgrounds, and
- Promote community interaction, break social isolation and build a strong sense of regional cultural identity.
The Sun's project spans the Arts, Heritage, and Youth sectors 2023 Project Grant:: In support of the Townships Youth Voices II project in 2023-2024. About: The Townships Sun is an English-language non-profit community magazine that explores the life and culture of the English-speaking communities in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. Its mission is to promote Townships living while, through the publication of a magazine, encouraging the full participation of English-speaking community members in the life of Quebec society.
