2022 Project: For the spring of 2022, we have prepared a new 1500 sq. ft plot that will be reserved for a group of youth, aged 11 to 15, who will learn how to grow veggies and sell the produce at the local market. About: The Lennoxville and District Women’s Centre has a specific mandate to empower and connect English-speaking women and their families in the Estrie region through education, support and advocacy. We are the only Women’s Centre in the province which provides services exclusively to the English-speaking minority. Our territory is the 05 administrative region and covers a distance of 80 kilometers in every direction from our location in Lennoxville.
Department: Community Care
2022 Project: Project held in conjunction with Parkview Elementary and Knowlton Foodbank - woodworking projects. About: Where old guys meet up with other old guys for fun, projects and sharing ideas. Community-oriented, free and always changing. Stop in for coffee and snacks, shoot a game of pool, meet up at the marina to go fishing, make new friends, take on a shared project, spend some time at the workshop and rediscover life after retirement.
2022 Project: Annual fundraising to support the development of the Coop gym santé Sutton and consolidate our financial situation in order to continue and improve our mission to provide quality physical training services adapted to the community of Sutton and its surroundings. (Anglophones and Francophones) About: Coop gym santé Sutton was born in 2014 when the five members of the launching committee had the objective of offering a different product than those found in run-of-mill gyms. They did not want to simply be different, but to give body to their dream, which remains to:
- facilitate, through physical activity, the taking ownership of health matters by one and all in our community;
- offer members and subscribers an environment conducive to the birth of a social network.
